Martha Cragun Cox was born on March 3, 1852, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was one of the first schoolteachers in Dixie, Utah, and continued her teaching career for almost fifty years. At the age of seventeen she entered into a plural marriage with Isaiah Cox and moved to Overton and later Bunkerville, Nevada. She was actively involved in the Mormon Church and served on an extended mission to Mexico beginning in 1900. Cox died in 1932. From the description of Autobiography of Martha C...
